Security

RG-DesktopLink listens on your network and types on your PCs, so it is built to let in only your own PCs and phones.

Your office key

Everything between your PCs is encrypted end to end with your office's own key. A PC or phone without it cannot connect, see or control anything. The key is made on your main PC, stays on your PCs, and Windows keeps it protected. There is no account, and no server of ours inside your office.

New PCs and phones

A new PC or phone joins with a 6-digit code from the main PC: valid for 10 minutes, 3 tries, used once. Someone watching the network learns neither the code nor the key. Each phone gets its own key: remove a lost phone and nothing else changes. A phone can do only what the app does.

Remote access

Off until you turn it on, PC by PC. Encrypted from one PC to the other: our relay only puts the two together, and it cannot see the screen, the keys or the password. Nobody gets in without Accept on that PC or its password, and wrong passwords are limited. A visitor can do only what you allowed (View only or Full control). See Remote access by ID.

Files

A PC hands out only the files you copied or dragged yourself. Files that arrive stay in the folder you dropped them in, and never replace other files.

The mouse and keyboard stay yours

Ctrl+Alt+Home always brings the cursor back to the main PC. If the program stops answering, the mouse and keyboard come back by themselves.

Lock screen and UAC

The agent that types on the lock screen and in UAC questions can be used only by RG-DesktopLink itself on the same PC, never from the network.

Install and updates

Only administrators can change the program's folder. The firewall is opened on Private and Domain networks only, never Public. Updates come only from a PC of your office, and never go back to an older version.

Diagnostics and privacy

Save diagnostics never contains your keys, codes or passwords. This site sets no cookies and has no accounts; payments happen on Stripe's own page. See the privacy policy.
