Cookie policy

RGPixel uses a small set of first-party cookies. Analytics is off until you accept it in the cookie banner. There are no advertising cookies, no marketing trackers, and no third-party analytics on this site.

Strictly necessary cookies (always on)

  • rgpixel_session — keeps you signed in. A signed JWT, HttpOnly, valid for 14 days.
  • rgpixel_oauth_state — set only while you sign in with Google, to protect the login flow against CSRF attacks. HttpOnly, expires after 10 minutes.
  • rgpixel_demo_upload — set only if you try the demo conversion without an account, so your browser can retrieve its own demo result. HttpOnly, expires after 24 hours (when the demo file is also deleted).
  • rgpixel_consent — remembers your cookie choice so we don't ask on every visit. First-party, expires after 6 months.
  • _GRECAPTCHA — set by Google reCAPTCHA on the sign-up page only, to tell humans from bots. It is a security cookie set by Google, not by us, and is exempt from consent as strictly necessary to prevent automated abuse.
  • These cookies are required for the service to function and cannot be switched off. Apart from _GRECAPTCHA, none of them is readable by other websites.

Analytics cookie (only with your consent)

  • rgpixel_vid — a random identifier (UUID) valid for 12 months, used by our own page-view counter. It is set ONLY after you choose "Accept" in the cookie banner; if you reject, it is never created and no page views are recorded.
  • How it works: once accepted, each page you visit sends the page path to our own server, which stores the path and the random identifier in our own database. That is the entire payload — no fingerprinting, no cross-site tracking, no behavioral profiling.
  • This data never leaves our infrastructure and is never shared with, or collected by, any third party. We use it solely to see which pages of RGPixel are used.
  • You can change or withdraw this consent at any time via "Cookie settings" in the footer.

What we don't use

  • No advertising or marketing cookies of any kind.
  • No third-party analytics services (no Google Analytics, no Meta pixel, no session-recording tools).
  • No cross-site tracking by us: every cookie we set ourselves is first-party and scoped to this site only. The single third-party cookie on the site is Google's reCAPTCHA security cookie on the sign-up page.

Managing cookies

  • When you first visit, we ask whether to enable the analytics cookie; nothing non-essential is set until you accept. Reopen your choice any time with "Cookie settings" in the footer.
  • You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings at any time. Blocking the strictly necessary cookies will prevent signing in and using the demo.
